Robotboot "Polyphonic Ooze" | Audio Visual Ambient Meditation

"Polyphonic Ooze" is a meditation on togetherness and thought of somewhat like how a guitar works having strings that are all in a separate space but work together polyphonically and when in sync the strings vibrate and become almost intoned together while still keeping there own frequency.

Pondering Parallel | Mink Lake @Olympic National Park | Audio Visual Ambient Meditation 4K

This is a meditation thinking of original thoughts and thinking and how of then as you grow you have a parallel thought that you would of ben totally agents when you first started this thinking and hadn't had the time and or experience to change. This video a video I shot  @Olympic National Park  Mink Lake, a field recording at a location that I cannot remember where, and a live modular audio performance(a friend Validine Chronus herd and saw an early version and decided to send over a simple yet fitting synth part so I added it and it worked wonderful and fell into the working in parallel theme). Video shot on September 26, 2018 in Washington at Mink Lake Olympic National Park.

Robotboot "Soundness" | Audio Visual Ambient Meditation

I have been thinking a lot about how sound things are for both the self, the people around, and the place we are, all focusing more and more outward especially with all thats going on and seeing peoples actions of not thinking of anyone but themselves and disregarding the community, old, young, unfortunate, animals, public spaces, and our whole existence. Ultimately coming back to how sound everything is when its all a relationship held together by fragments, happy accidents, and marvelous wonders. While all this things are great it's not that sound and not that lasting and easy lost with the thinking that its uncomfortable to put thinking that puts others and places infant of your own comfortability.

2020.01.01 Audio Visual Ambient Meditation

This is a meditation with thoughts and feeling of embracing the special time spent with one and or ones we love to love and the sensual pleasures we can achieve when we are all functioning asymmetrically and the time we spend when our asymmetrical timing meet to create beauty, symmetry, love, desire, sadness, lust, euphoria, comfort, relaxation, and other comma etc with the one or ones or self we chose to be our other and or others and or self and how we choose to experience and worship this coveted time. For the time being I am going to refrain from talking about the audio slash video creation as it leads into me needing to document more and even do some talking on camera showing the audio visual modular that I have built that I'm using and also don't want to show it till its done as it has been a monstrous investment and needs its own light shinned on it.

Other Form Audio Visual Ambient Meditation

I have found great enjoyment making music and visuals together as a form of meditation for myself…especially since I have put little to no focus on using percussion in songs so I hope that you could enjoy this also. Its kind of like running a program for your brain that will make you feel more relaxed after you visually downloaded it into your psyche.
Thanks have a great day.

Audio made with norns zelleen recording different sequences strait to the tape then loaded up and jumbled around in mlr while being recorded into ableton for clean up and a little editing.

Video was made from a longer late night session with my modular video synth with endogenous tones structure being the star of the show wile being fed other modulates.

2019.10.08 Modular Audio Visual MEDITATION

Rory Khan Mohon “Monochromatic”

This is a music video I created by for Rory Khan Mohon for his song Monochromatic. The visuals for this video where created by using a single photo that April Staso took of Rory. I took the photo and made some new compositions out of it and fed it to my video feedback system. I was happy to listen to this song over and over while each time it sounded a bit better. I think this came out delightfully weird.

PAQ "AIRMALTA" music video by Robotboot

PAQ "AIRMALTA"

PAQ(based out of Rimini, Italy) asked me to make a music video featuring found footage based on the idea of taking a trip to his song Airmalta. We chatted and came up with the idea based on found footage from the 70’s of commercial airline promotional footage and footage generated to look like a sunset over the ocean. The music is very chill and meditative wile keeping a good head nodding vibe to keep you entertained.

Liquid Light Lab x Robotboot - Live Liquid Light Show

Liquid Light Lab

Liquid Light Lab created a liquid light show live via a livestream to some of my more abstract minimal tracks.

Liquid light shows

Liquid light shows (or psychedelic light shows) are a form of light art that surfaced in the early 1960s as accompaniment to electronic music and avant-garde theatre performances. They were later adapted for performances of rock or psychedelic music.

:)

I could not be more happy as a musician having my music selected to carry on the tradition of liquid light shows in its new place of old technologies bonded with new technologies. It is very fascinating and mirrors the music so well. It is very meditative and relaxing and not in your face crazy…gives you that time to lit your brain turn of and do its own thing. Liquid Light Lab has an expressive set up that you can see in the recorded livestream.

The weekend was lit. Tomorrow is Monday. Wind down and chillax before doing it all again. Live experimental video performance, streamed right to you. Featuring the music of Robotboot.

This is Continuous, my sixth full length album. The A-side is a loose exploration of ambient minimalist sounds and themes

Olympic National Park Forest Floor

I went on a magical trip to the Olympic National Park in 2018 from September 21st to October 1st. I took my camera and zoom recorder and managed to grab this video and audio. I then scored a song to a bit of a sped up version of the video. I was taken back by the tall trees and the forest floor with the sun rays coming through. Just an hour before we wear at the destination of out hike Mink Lake and saw a black bear and decided to leave early. Turns out we lucked out and got to enjoy this beautiful view.

Robotboot “Biofluorescence” | Generative Video Art | Ambient Electronic Music

This is a generative video produced to my song Biofluorescence. The song and video where recorded separately. Both are one live take. This song is from a release that will be coming out in the future. It is an exploratory track with sounds inspired by: Floating in space with limited oxygen. As floating we first contemplate but then we accept and then we see the true beauty of what is the abyss that is open space. We float into places that humanity has never been, seeing things that are precise sparks of life. We then realize how un special we are and wonder why we do not embrace all the details that make us unique from each other. As we end our journey we come across a new form being created. it is some kind of tiny biofluorescence organism that seams to be reproducing at a rapid rate and are all vibrant colors of the rainbow. We now think how lucky we are to have seen the creation and how lucky we have always been.

The video was created with a feedback loop with lots of help from Tachyons+ Psychenizer. I messed around for a good hour trying to get something going and right before i gave up and fell asleep these patterns started generating.

Robotboot "Music for Aquariums: Gathering of the Cuttlefish” | Video Art | Electronic Music | Chill

A 21 Minute Modular Improvisation with Psychedelic Video Art.

Music for Aquariums is a new a/v project I am working on that will go off the grid and feature sounds that you might here on your journey to the depths of the ocean and places beyond…

This song is what I imagine it looks like when all the cuttlefish hang out and do what they want. This song was created on my modular with a patch that was inspired by the camouflage and color changing of the cuttlefish. I then thought of how many cuttlefish meet up at one time in the ocean and then I instantly stated thinking what the all start doing with their colors and camouflage while there are all together and this is what I thought that would look like. Youtube can't even handle the amount of color and cool gradients that would happen. This video is kind of like looking at the clouds but your in an ocean looking at cuttlefish: dancing, moving, oscillating: all together in harmony symmetry mixed with random generated life. Think of the aquarium as place where you can be you and everyone likes that you are you because everyone there is not like you.

This song makes heavy use of my wish mosh of a modular that is 416HP. I created the main cv for the music with Intellijel Metropolis as the main heart of the sequence in conjunction with Verbos Electronics Sequence Selector and a bit of generative going on to ad just a minor variation. The main gates are being provided with a vpme.de Euclidean Circles running into the Doepfer A-166 with is using the Intellijel Quadra + Expander to the Make Noise Optomix for the main sounds that are coming from a mix of Mutable instruments Plaits, Sputnik Modular Oscillator, Make Noise DPO that are all sort of feedback patched, the Quadra also had internal feedback patching and is also controlling tonality of the song though cv parameters. There was also a Make Noise Morphagene that was working of the main music source and also being sequenced with the help of the Verbos Electronics Sequence Selector signal selector and the Mutable instruments Blinds(with was helping with a lot of the CV in general). Befaco Hexmix + Hexpander are on mixing duty and has 3 separate AUX sends set up 1) 2x Alright Devices Chronoblob with a Xaoc Devices Kamieniec. 2) 2x Suiseki Phase Shifter with μClouds. Some modules i forgot to talk about that are used: Make Noise MMG, Doepfer A-120, Sputnik Modular Selector, Steady State Fate Entity Bass Drum Synthesizer, Make Noise Maths.

Shuttle Run "Contact" | Music Video | Electronic Music

A group of four space travelers left earth in their ship SR-1 with one mission, to track down a transmission signal that is thought to have originated from alien technology. The crew on SR-1 go into cryosleep for years at a time to travel and pinpoint the origins of the mysterious alien signal. Their journey is very monotonous and spans centuries. Visiting vast pockets of space and leaving the earth behind the crew of SR-1 has dedicated their life to this mission. They are so far into space that they have lost communication with earth and other space colonies. Only thought of finding the origin of a signal in which they can use to communicate with alien life forms drives them further and further into space as they hone into the signal’s origins...

Lyrics:

The time we spent in isolation

is gone forever more.

We lift our heads in anticipation

and set sail for your shores.

In the years since we first made contact

ahh ahhh ahhh.

We set our hearts out ahead of our hands in

fields of love.

Do you hear us and will you

listen to

astronomic love songs?

Right behind the eye of Orion

we found your pretty world above

and sent a song of enchantment to

rain down through your clouds.

Do you hear us?

We are waiting for

You.

You.

You.

You.

Robotboot "Music for Aquariums: Night Shift" | Liquid Light Show | Electronic Music

Special thanks to the Visual by Justin Howard.

About the project: Music for Aquariums is a new Album i am working on that will go off the grid and feature sounds that you might here on your journey to the depths of the ocean floor and back.

About The song: I have been working on some music for aquariums. This one goes on after hours when the sea creatures that emit light come out. Usually only the janitor is there but they are wearing headphones and preoccupied to see the sea creatures that emit light.

About the creation: a handful of oscillators with 3 looping AD Envelopes modulating each other along with some live tweeting created the "rhythm" The slowest AD envelop was clocking the sequencer. Live tweeted a couple filters. ran it trew a couple of reverbs and delays. Put a phaser in there somewhere. Used some lowpass gates for the VCA. I then gave the song to a friend and they did a liquid light show for the visuals and it is basically a short visual film.

Robotboot "Porta 002" | Abstract Electronic Music | Video Art

This video is a simple feedback loop that I made in a live take for my song Porta 002 from my album Porta. The Album Porta is a collection of songs I recorded on a Tascam Portastudio 4 Track Cassette Recorder in 2016. These where all written and recorded in a short amount of time. Focusing on a cinematic vibe and playing live takes with no editing or sequencing. All analog sounds and processing.
